A policy of formal and continuous assessment is followed with all tasks and assignments assessed. Tests, examinations and assignments are structured to include all levels of thinking.

A report is sent home each term. Included in the report are assessment gradings for every subject and evaluation of specific critical outcomes, as well as of homework, responsibility and work ethic.

Prize giving

The School has prize giving once a year, where learners are acknowledged for their hard work.

Various sport are offered at Kingfisher Private School, and this changes seasonally. See the Extra Mural timetable every term for the applicable sport.

Special events/trips

All senior preparatory pupils go on an educational trip lasting two to three days to various destinations such as Moholoholo, Blyde Adventure Camp or Pilgrims Rest.

Life Skills and Economic Management Science (EMS) excursions include visits to the bank and a supermarket.
Presentations are made to the learners as part of EMS by brokers, bank representatives and delegates from service organisations, eg Round Table.
